Mr. Sharad Joshi
Mr. Joshi has over 30 years of experience in the medical device field including management positions CEO, President, and COO, New Business Development, Marketing, International Sales, and R&D at Microline, Blue Torch, Alliant Medical Technologies, and Boston Scientific. Mr. Joshi has been the inventor and author of numerous patents and publications and has been responsible for bringing many new medical technologies to market. Prior to joining Bio-Chem, Mr. Joshi was President and CEO of Microline Surgical, Inc. where he led a global medical device manufacturer of high qulity laparoscopic surgical instruments and oversaw rapid growth and was responsible for strategic direction, marketing, global sales, business development, operations, and R&D. Mr. Joshi has earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a Pre-Medical minor from Northeastern University and graduated cum laude with an MBA from Babson College.
Chief Operations Officer (COO)
Mr. Vinnie Favia
Mr. Favia joined Bio-Chem as the Vice President, Finance IT and HR in November 2014. Prior to joining Bio-Chem, Vinnie was the Corporate Controller at Inrad Optics, a publicly traded manufacturer of custom crystalline and metallic optics from 2009 to 2014. From 1999 to 2009, he was the Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and part owner of Signature Badges and Accessories, a private manufacturer of custom metal badges for police, fire, EMS and security personnel. Prior to that he was Chief Accounting Officer for Compass International Services Corp. from 1998 to 1999 and Corporate Controller for The Union Corporation from 1991 to 1998, both companies were publicly traded companies that provided outsourcing business services. Vinnie began his career with Ernst & Young, a global leader in audit, tax and advisory services, from 1984 to 1991. He is a Certified Public Accountant and earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Pace University.
Vice President, Engineering
Mr. Bill Easterbrook
Mr. Easterbrook has 27 years of experience in medical and scientific product design and development, from ideation through commercial release. He has held leadership roles at Centrix Dental (Shelton, Conn.), Svelte Medical Systems (New Providence NJ), and OrthoFix Spine (Wayne, NJ). Bill has had key Engineering roles at Becton Dickinson (Franklin Lakes, NJ), Cordis, a Johnson and Johnson Company (Warren, NJ), Care Fusion, formerly Vital Signs (Totowa, NJ), and Fresenius USA (Rockleigh, NJ). He holds several US Patents, has published articles in the areas of Advanced Drug Delivery and Cardiovascular Therapies, and has driven the release of 25 new medical devices and/or trade secret processes over his career. Mr. Easterbrook holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University (Boston, Mass.).
Vice President, Operations
Ms. Linsey Holden-Downes
Ms. Holden-Downes joined Halma through the Halma Graduate Development Programme in April 2013, and completed rotations at Palintest, Apollo, Texecom, and Cosasco. Following the programme, Ms. Holden-Downes joined Diba Industries as Production Manager at their Cambridge, UK facility before eventually being promoted to Plant Manager, managing all the activities of the UK business. Ms. Holden-Downes left Halma briefly to work at Amazon where she had responsibility for all inbound and outbound operations within the UK-EU Fulfillment Centre. She rejoined Halma in August 2017 as Director of Operations at Bio-Chem before being promoted to Vice President. Ms. Holden-Downes has a Master of Chemistry from Newcastle University and a Diploma in Law from Northumbria University.
Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Mr. Chris Murphy
Mr. Murphy joined Bio-Chem in December of 2014. Prior to his arrival, he spent more than a decade as the President of the US subsidiary of the Zapi Group, which designs and manufactures power electronics and electric motors, where he lead that organization to grow sales by more than 400% and establish its brand as a major force in the global market. He has a broad background in OEM Sales, Accounting, Operations and Management. Mr. Murphy possesses a Bachelor of Science degree from East Carolina University.
